WELLNESS MATTERS!
Nov. 15, 2017

Point of Interest: As of this writing, the Wellness Oasis has been visited 150 times this year (and that's only counting the times we remembered to make a tic mark)!

1. Don’t forget that we have our Chocolate Tasting on Thursday in the BBT at 4:00. If you didn’t sign up but still want to come, stop by and see if there is space – we’d love to try to make it work. The cost is 450 rupees.

2. NOV. 29 WELLNESS AFTERNOON:

Lots of you have offered your talents/skills/time to make this a great day for us. THANK YOU! You can take a peek at the class offerings here, but it will go “LIVE” on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 4:00pm. Sign ups are first come, first serve. Once the “Max” is reached, please just add your name as a back up (I’ll review this before the 29th and let you know), or sign up for your next choice.

Remember that we have received the gift of time for the 2nd session and your use of that is up to you. (Time was something that was actually asked for on the Wellness Matters needs survey sent out at the beginning of the year).

3. AND, EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY:

Relieve stress, back pain, headaches, increase immune function, and improve focus.
Magic?
Yes and no (citation needed) - it’s the benefits of 15-minute head, neck, and back massages in the workplace (another thing that was asked for on the Wellness Matters needs survey).

What: On campus massages - 15 minute head, neck, back (no disrobing required)

When: December 7 from 8:45am – 4:30pm

Who: Tawan Stier, professionally trained Thai masseuse

Youcan see the sign up sheet here, but it’s protected until November 30, 8:00AM. AT THAT TIME IT WILL BE “LIVE” FOR YOU TO SIGN UP (please be on time to your massage or forfeit your time as Tawan will be on a very tight schedule).  I’d love to see this be a big success so that we can offer it again this year!

4. Have a great Thanksgiving break, everyone. I hope to see some of you at the Neon Run on Saturday night at 6:30pm, and the Wipro on Sunday the 3rd.

  1. Thank you Beth and everyone engaging personal and collective wellness. I appreciate the commitment of Beth and others who keep this essential aspect of our lives in front of us here at AISC. Well done!
